Fall flowers

I'm so far behind on posting to my blog.... my apologies!! It has been a busy fall so far-- I have two more weddings in November, then I will be on maternity leave unti l January. This baby is due December 18th, so that leaves a little time before and after he comes. I have to tell ya, lifting heavy buckets of flowers (with water of course) is getting a little impossible with this big belly out in front! But I love getting to work with beautiful flowers and amazing people so much... it's hard for me to take a break from it!!!
Here are some pictures from this past weekend's wedding. I loved the choice of flowers-- antique hydrangea with berries and curly willow for the bridesmaids and centerpieces, and white flowers for the altar and bridal bouquet. We accented the bouquets and aisle flowers with chocolate ribbon, and some of the centerpieces were simple pillar candles in cylinders with coffee beans, spanish moss, and greenery/floral accents. I loved how it all came together!

June Wedding at Smith Family Chapel and Austin Country Club

This wedding was such a fun one for me to do! Amy at Merveille Events and I collaborated on this one and it was so great to get to work with her and everything came together beautifully!!! The couple became great friends of ours as well-- they have moved to Dallas but we are looking forward to hanging out with them when they visit Austin.

AWEC Luncheon at Fogo de Chao

Thanks to Andy at Studio 563 for these amazing images of the Austin Wedding & Event Coordinator's luncheon. The theme was "Cultural Mosaic". N'Yoka Coleman at Soiree and I had a great time brainstorming ideas for the design. We created several types of arrangements for the large guest tables: bento boxes filled with black magic roses, horsetail vases with bright red anthurium leaves, and floating red gerbera daisies. We also scattered black river stones along the tablescape, and hung strands of red rose petals from each chandelier.

Family

This wedding was so special for me-- my Mother in Law got married here in Austin in March! It was such a wonderful occasion for all of us, and of course I was thrilled to get to do her flowers! At the end of the ceremony, she took her bouquet apart and gave a rose to each family member there, including my 16 month old daughter :) We used soft peach tones along with curly willow and hot chocolate roses. I love this color combination.

Mansion at Judges Hill

This past weekend's wedding was simple and elegant. The bride chose white lillies with curly willow for each of the guest tables, and her bouquet was made of jumbo hydrangea, several varieties of lime green and white orchids, and freesia. I also really love the beautiful setting at Mansion at Judges Hill.
