Congratulations Chris & Mich!!!

This weekend's wedding was so special to do, since they are personal friends of mine! I also had a lot of fun working with my good friend Ruthie at Blue Box Events-- check them out at http://www.blueboxevents.com/. This wedding and reception was held at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel, with the ceremony outdoors at sunset. We went with a woodsy, fall theme with tropicals, several varieties of orchids and black magic roses.

Fun Couple, Fun Flowers!

This weekend's wedding was so fun! I met the couple for the first time this week, as they both live in New York City and hired me from phone calls/emails. It was great to finally meet them-- they were so great to work with! The flowers were fun and colorful for this wedding at Hyde Park Baptist Church and reception at Barton Creek Resort. We used orchids, hydrangea, dahlias, gerbers, hypericum berries, bells of ireland, snapdragons and fragrant lillies in shades of pinks, whites, and lime greens. Caroline wanted to "play" with the bride's bouquet-- but I wouldn't let her :)

One of my favorites

One of my best friend's went to Austin Flower Company and bought flowers for a Mother's Day arrangement for her Mom. She chose beautiful peonies, stock, viburnum, tulips, hydrangea, rannunculus, and artichokes. She has a great eye for color and style. When she brought them to me to arrange, I was thrilled to get to play with her gorgeous selections :)

Heidii & Chris

Here we are-- my incredible team and I-- working quickly to set up a wedding at the Hilton. We only had a couple of hours to transform this space for one of our most elaborate weddings for my good friends Heidii & Chris. This is also the wedding that introduced me to 36th Street Events (http://www.36thstreetevents.com/). Resha and Lindy have become fast friends and are incredible to work with!!!

The bride's beautiful bouquet of roses and bouvardia, cuffed in an antique green jumbo hydrangeaElegant silver candelabra with bright lillies, roses, antique hydrangea, and bells of ireland
This is a beautiful rental item from Alan at Mancino Iron Works (http://www.mancinoiron.com/). It's an 8 ft tree covered with beautiful dendrobium orchids, candles, and ornaments with the couple's initial.
We created several different centerpieces for this wedding-- here's one of my favorites: hydrangea with lillies, roses, and bells of ireland.

First EV Free Chapel

This was a particularly fun wedding to do-- it was held at my church's beautiful chapel. The bride and groom were so incredible to work with, and I was really glad to get the chance to meet them. Here is the fireplace of the chapel decorated with a large arrangement in a rustic urn, and the mantel accented with candles and magnolia leaves.

A blog for Lily Floral Design

Well, I started this blog back in June of 2005, but didn't really keep it up at the time. Now it's common-place in the wedding business-- a lot of my photographer and floral design friends have blogs and it's a great way to showcase our most current work. So here it is... the re-launch of my flower blog. I hope you enjoy!!!!
